Zealong Tea Estate held an extraordinary event on Monday 26 June 2017 attended by notable local and international public figures, and numerous stakeholders and role players within the NZ Tourism industry.
Sen Kong, Zealong’s Marketing Manager, was invited to attend the annual TeeGschwendner Convention in Germany, just four months after entering into a mutually beneficial collaboration agreement. This is the first Zealong visit to Germany since signing the agreement in September.
Zealong Tea Estate was invited to participate in the Official State Banquet by serving their award winning organic tea to the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his accompanying delegation of dignitaries during their visit to New Zealand.
The VIP banquet was held at The Langham Hotel’s Great Room and hosted by New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English together with other members of New Zealand’s political and business elite.
“We regard it as a great honour to be invited to serve our award winning tea at this auspicious occasion”, said Zealong General Manager Gigi Crawford. “Our top quality organic tea was extremely well received by all the guests and we hope that the visitors were left with a unique flavour of Pure New Zealand and a sense of ‘home away from home’.
Wellington and Auckland tea lovers, rejoice! We’ve partnered with Mojo Coffee so you can now get your Zealong fix at any of their locations.
Wellington-based Mojo, one of New Zealand’s most experienced and respected independent coffee roasters and cafe operators, is introducing Zealong’s loose leaf teas to its menu to capture a growing market of tea connoisseurs.
With Zealong teas launching in Mojo cafes, tea lovers can enjoy truly home-grown and organic teas. We look forward to sharing the uniquely pure flavours with Mojo customers at its 21 Wellington and 11 Auckland cafes!
Zealong will be showcased during March as TeeGschwendner’s ‘tea of the month’.
The Vengabus is coming, and everybody’s jumping, New York to San Francisco … to the Zealong Tea Estate.
Ahead of the Vengaboys’ two shows in New Zealand, MoreFM’s Lana and Jase scheduled a stop at the Zealong Tea Estate in their customised ‘Vengabus’ party bus for a tea break.
The ‘Vengabus’ road trip from Auckland was ahead of the Dutch pop band’s first show in Hamilton at Claudelands Arena followed by another at Auckland’s Bruce Mason Centre – the first time in 15 years since the group last performed in New Zealand.
While here, Lana and Jase took part in a customary tea tasting ceremony of 100% New Zealand-grown tea and a high tea at our Zealong Tea House.
And according to the pair a spot of the world’s purest tea was just the tonic before putting on their dancing shoes for the concert.
At Zealong we like to think we have a creative spark in the kitchen, but we were absolutely blown away by the tasty creations in Chelsea Winter’s new book Scrumptious.
For those of you who don’t know, Chelsea is a New Zealand celebrity chef, entrepreneur, food writer and television personality, and best known for winning the third season of MasterChef New Zealand.
As part of her 11-stop nationwide tour, Chelsea held her Waikato launch of Scrumptious at the Zealong Tea Estate. Avid followers, us included, thoroughly enjoyed listening to Chelsea and picking her brains over some of our most pressing cooking questions.
Thanks Chelsea for picking us as the venue of choice.
