Nestled in the heart of the picturesque countryside, the Camellia Restaurant is the original dairy farmhouse converted into a familiar, yet all-new country style bistro that combines French techniques with local seasonality.
French born; Executive Chef Jean-Baptiste Pilou joins us for the next chapter of his already extra-ordinary career that includes working in the kitchens of some of Paris’ finest restaurants. Joining him is Valentina Avecilla, Zealong's Executive Pastry Chef, and an internationally experienced kitchen team.
Together they bring with them a very special take on using locally sourced ingredients, focusing on hand made and sustainability.

A major renovation has been completed to create the Zealong Tea Room. We’ve combined our world class views with new luxurious interior design.

Our Executive Pastry Chef Valentina Avecilla trained at the prestigious Cordon Bleu in Paris and has many years of international culinary experience. She brings a passion for patisserie. Valentina is committed to sourcing local fresh produce and the menu will change with seasonal availability. High Tea, morning and afternoon tea will be available daily as well as the complete collection of Zealong tea. 100% certified organic, taste the difference - truly New Zealand tea.
