Just days after its launch, Whittaker’s new chocolate bars with infused Zealong tea are gaining a big tick with consumers and social media commentators alike. Zealong Tea Estate’s black tea has taken its place in Whittaker’s inspiring new range, launched nationally on Monday, 18 May. Zealong has been collaborating with New Zealand’s premium chocolate-maker for the last year on the development of the new variety, one of six launched by Whittaker’s as part of a new Artisan Collection which seeks to present uniquely Kiwi ingredients to discerning consumers throughout the country.
Sen Kong, Zealong Tea Estate’s marketing manager, says it’s a stunning result for the Hamilton-based company, as it is for the other artisan producers who have been selected to be part of this next stage in Whittaker’s success story. “We’re really excited by being able to get Zealong tea to the lips of chocolate lovers around the country. It’s great recognition of the quality of the tea we are producing in the fertile fields of the Waikato.”
