Harvesting the world’s best at Zealong

zealong-newsletter-201601-harvest-227x151Summer time means beaches, barbeques and friends but at the Zealong National Tea Centre it’s yet another busy month with the second of three annual tea harvests.

For 20 days of the month our staff can be found out in New Zealand’s only commercial tea plantation picking the best leaves for the purest tea in the world.

The summer harvest follows the spring harvest in November – the first in the world – and is completed with the third and final harvest in March.

We are looking forward to the beautiful summer tea that will come from it.

Give the gift of love this Valentine’s Day

zealong-valentines-pavilionRomance is in the air at the Zealong National Tea Centre with Valentine’s Day fast approaching. But if you are struggling to find the perfect gift for that special someone we can help play Cupid ahead of the love-filled day.

Whether a heartfelt gift of the world’s purest tea, or a romantic outing to the country’s only commercial tea plantation, it is sure to wow.

A one-off seven-course degustation will be held on Valentine’s Day – visit our website for more information and to make a booking before it’s too late!

And those visiting during the day have a unique opportunity to take a scenic helicopter flight over Zealong National Tea Centre and surrounds – check out Helicorp’s exclusive Valentine’s Day offer here.

Summer Aperitif proving popular

zealong-newsletter-201601-summer-aperitivoWow!! Due to popular demand, our delicious tea-infused cocktails (and mocktails) are now available earlier in the day – so if you’re having trouble choosing between an afternoon high tea and a unique cocktail evening, you can now have both!

Celebrating the Chinese New Year with sales

201411-organic-range-webWe aren’t monkeying around when we say we have some exciting promotions to coincide with the Chinese New Year. Also known as the spring festival, 2016 is the year of the monkey, the ninth sign of the zodiac in the Chinese calendar’s 12-year cycle.

To celebrate, leading up to February 8th we will be running a number of promotions in our retail store at the Zealong National Tea Centre. We offer an extensive range of the highest quality New Zealand teas and tea-related products for sale.

100% certified organic, Kiwi, and fully traceable from soil to first sip, the flavoursome Zealong teas are not only packed full of health benefits, but are elegantly presented.

Make Zealong the perfect day trip

Word is spreading of Zealong as New Zealand’s only home grown tea and a popular attraction!

We had the pleasure of hosting The Weekend Herald late last year to showcase why the Zealong National Tea Centre is the perfect stop if you’re travelling through the Waikato.

Along with experiencing a traditional tea ceremony, they learnt how our tea bushes grow the world’s purest tea right here at New Zealand’s only commercial tea plantation. For the full review click here.
