Chocolate Pudding with Black tea sauce

A favourite of both children and the young at heart. A deliciously rich chocolate pudding with a hint of Zealong Black Tea.

Ingredients you will need

● 1 cup flour
● 2 tsp baking powder
● ½ tsp salt
● ½ cup sugar
● ¼ cup cocoa
● 75g melted butter
● 1 tsp vanilla essence
● 1 cup milk
● 1 cup brown sugar
● ¼ cup cocoa
● 2 cups freshly brewed Zealong Black ( 5 g of dry tea) – use boiling water


  1.  Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa into a mixing bowl.
  3. Add softened butter and vanilla. Gradually add in milk and mix well.
  4. Pour mixture into a deep, buttered, ovenproof dish.
  5. In a separate bowl combine brown sugar and cocoa. Sprinkle over pudding. Gently pour Zealong Black tea over the top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes.
