Frost control at Zealong Tea Estate in the wee hours of the morning, protecting our delicate crop. Thanks to our friends at Helicorp. We look forward to a fantastic Spring harvest!

Brrrr… We’ve been having very cold, crips mornings lately. A great opportunity to capture our dormant tea plantation in Winter. Camellias enter dormancy in late autumn (May), to keep their strength and nutrients, and to grow lush new shoots in early Spring (November)!

For the first time in eight years of growing organic New Zealand tea, Zealong has had to call in helicopters to protect it from unseasonal frost settling in at 4am.
