Fashion Design Student Shoots Tea-Inspired Collection at Zealong

Brydie Senior, a final year fashion design student at Wintec, has designed a collection of tea-inspired outfits and held a photoshoot on our estate!

The collection, called “Tea: a necessary luxury,” explores Victorian tea consumption ideals alongside the raw realities of tea-estate pickers. From fine bone china to woven baskets, this fusion of cultural perspectives comes to light through the fulfilment of tea as more than just a drink; Tea becomes a place to which we escape.

“Tea: a necessary luxury” will be showcased at the Wintec Future Fashionista’s fashion show on November 18th at The Meteor. See some behind the scenes photos below, and one of photographer Ruth Gilmour’s final images at the end of the gallery!
