Beyond Beauty Charity Event at Zealong Tea Estate

Waikato student Nurul Shamsul is a Miss Universe New Zealand Finalist and the first Muslim hijabi to ever get into the finals in New Zealand (and one of the first in the world!).

As part of being a finalist, her first Entrepreneurial Challenge event, ‘Beyond Beauty’ was held at Zealong Tea Estate this weekend. This is a charity event for Variety- the children’s charity, to inspire and empower women, featuring special speakers! Nurul hopes that this journey allows herself and other girls to break boundaries and stereotypes as well re-define the meaning of beauty.
